ENTERTAINMENTS.

The change of programme at the Whitoley Hall last night drew a crowded house, which showed its appreciation by frequent applause. Tho programme, a diversified one and every item up to Mr. Saunders’ usual excellent standard, included four powerful dramatic films, •■The Switchman’s Tower,” “The Puncher’s New Love,” ‘Through Jealous Kyes,” and ”lhe Littl© Rebel. The first-mentioned is full of dramatic interest and is intensely exciting, and is alone well worth tho modest sixpence chargeu for admission. Other fine'films shown included “Pathe’s Gazette,” “The Birth of Flowers,” “The Police Dog Competitions-,” and a beautiful scenic lilra entitled “A Trip to Afcady.” The same programme will be repeated to-night, and in addition Mr. Saunders has made special arrangements with the Taranaki Herald to show the results of tho second ballot on tho screen as soon as they come to hand. Patrons are assured of a comfortable seat and of getting the results as soon as onlookers in the street.
