AUCKLAND SESSIONS. ' Auckland" sept. 6. The hearing of the charge of murder preferred against Martha _ Jane O’Shaughncssy in connection with tho death of Mias’ Elsie Alexandra Holland at the residence of the accused in Kingslaud on or about Juno 13 last was continued at the Auckland Supremo Court to-day. Tho case tor the prosecution had not concluded when the. court rose. TIMARU SESSIONS. - TIMARU, Sept. 6. At the Supreme Court tho Clanseu thefts case, in which the jury disagreed voctcrday, was postponed till next session. lii the Ashburton carnal knowledge case a verdict of guilty was returned, and sentence was deferred. A Timaru man was charged with an unnatural offence, and was acquitted “without a stain on his character.” The informant, a boy of thirteen, is a degenerate, and had been under hospital treatment.
