At the Supreme Court tho Clanseu thefts case, in which the jury disagreed voctcrday, was postponed till next session. lii the Ashburton carnal knowledge case a verdict of guilty was returned, and sentence was deferred. A Timaru man was charged with an unnatural offence, and was acquitted “without a stain on his character.” The informant, a boy of thirteen, is a degenerate, and had been under hospital treatment.
