A GREENSTONE REEF.

MILLIONS OF TONS IN SIGHT. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, August 28. Private advices from the West Coast report an important discovery of what is believed to be the mother reef from which all the greenstone found there is derived. A syndicate lias' been formed to exploit it. With greenstone in such quantities its use will no longer be confined to jewellery, and the idea is to work it for commercial purposes, in the form of mantlepicces, table tops, monuments, etc. It is also understood there will be a larjjo market in China, where greenstone in the form of jade is regarded with peculiar veneration.
