IN WHICH DIRECTION?
(To the Editor.) Sir, —I was to-day charged one shilling for carriage of six wool-bales to the Junction per rail. I used to carry for half this rate, or less, thirty years ago, per horso, and there, was mud in those days. As you say, we are advancing rapidly, but in which direction ? I am, etc., W. BROWN.
