ATTEMPTED ASSASSINATION.
A CUBAN INCIDENT. By Electric Telegraph.-’-Copyright. (Received Oct. 24, 8.35 a.m.) HAVANA, Oct. 23. Major-General Pino Guerra, commander of the Cuban army, narrowly escaped assassination as ho was leaving the Presidential palace at Havana. Ho was seriously shot in the leg. The sentry wounded the assailant, who when captured was found to be a member of the secret police.
