ENTERTAINMENTS.

HEWITT’S PICTURES. After two months of practically continuous showing in the Theatre Royal Hewitt’s Pictures still attract good audiences, in fact, tho audiences appear to grow with the season of the pictures. After tho long run of popularity the writer wonders of something new to say about the entertainment, which as usual calls for words of praise. Last evening another change of programme was submitted, tbo films shown making up an interesting programme. Two cleverly acted detective stories were unfolded under the titles. of “Detectives Fritt and Plock” and “Nick Carter, the King of Detectives.” “Tho Thames in Winter,” and “Across tho Bosphorus” are two particularly good scenic films, while the “fake” picture entitled “Silhouettes” is worthy of mention. The comic studies are all most entertaining. In short all the subjects dealt with are such that require the use of superlatives in their description. To-morrow (Wednesday) tho programme will bo repeated.
