TARANAKI JOCKEY CLUB’S MEETING TO-MORROW. Tho autumn meeting of the Taranaki Jockey Club- opens at New Plymouth to-morrow and should the present glorious weather continue it promises to constitute a record in tho history of the club. The acceptances are above previous years both numerically and also in point of quality. The course and tho appointments are in excellent order, and tho general arrangements for the mooting are all complete. In tho interval between tho Christmas meeting further improvements have boon carried out by the club for the benefit of the public, principal among which is tho enlargement and other alterations oT the public dining room under the grandstand. Tho majority of the outside horses competing at the mooting have arrived, and the remainder will bo brought through to-day. To-morrow the officers and men of tho H.M.S. Pegasus will be tho guests of tho club.
