In the Magistrate’s Court this morning, before Mr. H. S. Fitzherbert, S.M., a first offending inebriate was convicted and discharged. During the day ho attempted to ride a bike down the path leading from the horse paddock, but lost control of the machine. Ho fell over the embankment near the cottage—n fall of about 7 f co t—-and struck bis head on a log the other side of the track. ' Ho was cut rather badly. Visitors rendered first aid, and 'after a while the man appeared to have overcome the results of the accident. As ho sot out. from the house down the track, this time pushing'his bicycle, ho gave the parting salutation: “Another case of striking an uncharted rock.”
