The Rosamond arrived from Onehunga this morning and loft for Wellington this afternoon with 1800 crates of cheese for transhipment to the Morayshire. A heavy toll lias been exacted by the sea in regard to the British merchant navy during the past 25 years, the number of lives lost by ship wreck and other causalties being given as 27,046.
