There have, been a- good few men waiting about here fpv the works to start, but they have given it up as a'had job apd the’settlers have found work for them. Things look a bit hotter. Dir. J. It is hoped that there will be something done to the two bluffs between Okau and Kotaro before long, as they are not . fit for'horse'traffic’the way they are now, and I- should not be surprised to hear of an accident on them any time. There have been several cattle buyers out this way. hut I have not hoard of anv business being done yet. The settlors are holding on for a while in hopes of getting hotter prices.
