DIAMONDS IN RHODESIA.
JUDGMENT AGAINST ,DE DEERS. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. (Received Feb. 12, 8.45 a.m.) LONDON, Fob. 11. In connection with the claim by the Do Boers Diamond Company against the British South African Company, claiming, under certain agreements, all the diamonds found in Rhodesia, Mr. Justice Swinfcn Eady, in the London Chancery Court, gave judgment, declaring that the agreement giving De Beers an exclusive license to work the diamoudiferous ‘ground in Rhodesia was void. Judgment was for the Chartered Company without costs. COLONIAL WORKS OF ART. (Received Feb. 12, 8.45 a.m.) ’ LONDON, Feb. 11. Canada and South Africa are arranging to send pictures by local artists to the Empire Festival. Tho council is awaiting Australia’s action.
