Mr. Kettle, S.M., in delivering judgment to-day in a case brought by the Hotel and Restaurant Employees' Union against John Morrison, licensee of the Metropolitan Hotel, niade some references to tho mischief catised by paid agitators. " ' The labourer is worthy of his hire,' ' Unity is strength,' " Mr. Kettle continued, " and workers are entitled to safeguard and maintain their rights by all fair and legitimate moans ; bllt the meddling, mischief-making agitator, who through an excess of zeal or under a mistaken sense of duty foments discontent among workers and encourages a spirit of hostility and antagonism towards employers, instead of cultivating and promoting a conciliatory spirit and good feeling between em- • ployers .and employees, , is an enemy of-. -employers, -a.- greater enemy of -em--ploveos, and a curse to the community 1" Judgment was given for defendant - in each case.
