A meeting ot the Tamnal.i Metropolitan Committee was he'd last night. There wen- present. Messis. Lcpper (in the chair), A. M'K. Thompson, ilempton, Nolan, Alexander. L. \i. Webster, Standish, Budge, King, Blundell and Ellis. The progiammes for the Eginont Kaeing Club and Waitara Racing Club meetings were approved. A trainer's license was granted to J). Knight. A license was also granted to I. A. Johnson, subject to the approval of ibr Wanganui Jockey Club. A jockey's licence was granted Johnson on the same conditions. A large amount of correspondence was dealt with.
