A suspect has been arrested at Maidstone in connection with the murder of i Mrs. Luard in August, 1908. !i [Deceased, who was the wife of -' Major-General Charles E. Luard, of '■ r Ightham Knqll> ' Sevenoaks, was shot »' 'dead with a revolver. The dead body -■ was robbed of three rings, the fingers ' being badly cut. The tragedy occurred • on the. balcony of a summer house, in '> the fanel? woods attached to "Frank- - field," at the. residence of Horace Wilk- ! inson, at Seal Court, Sevenoaks, short1 ly after her husband had left her at a f wicket gate leading to the woods.
