LONDON MARKETS. Wheat. — The markets are less depressed, partly owing to the unlavourable weather, which is delaying the supplies of home-grown wheat and is partly the cause of the reduced crop estimates. American and Russian cargoes are firm hut quiet. Australian afloat is offering at 41s 6d, new crop 38s 6d to 40s. off coast 41s Gd, on spot quiet at 43s 3d and 445. Flour is dull and unchanged. Unverified rumours are current that some of the season's contracts with New Zealand factories are about 107s e.i.f. There is no news of any Australian contracts. The opinion is freely expressed in the trade that early arrivals of choicest new Australian will fetch high prices, possibly 120s, but of course the market after Octobei will be largely dependent on the quantity of the Australian supplies.
