BOOM IN RUBBER.
(Received Sept. 18, 10.40 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 1/. Rubber is now selling at 8s per lb. compared with 3s per lb. earjy inthe year. Tho boom is due to the increased use of rubber in connection with electricity and motor tyres. Imperial Commerce Club. (Received Sept. 18, 8.5 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 17. Tho Lord Mayor of London is president, and Lord Blythe, the Lord Mayors of Cardiff, Sheffield, Dublin and Cork, the Lord Provosts of Glasgow and Dundee and the Mayors of Londonderry and Hull are vice-presi-dents ot the Imperial Commerce Club, a non-political institution which opens in the West End in November.
