RANG ITIKEI RACES.

The weather was five, the attendance good, and the going slightly holding. The totalisator handled £5184, as against £3316 on the correspond ing day of last year, which was held under'adverse weather conditions. M. Ayers, the rider of Boanerges, who fell in the first race, was carried off the course unconscious, but has since recovered. F. Flynn, rider of Lingerer, who fell, was badly injured, and had to be removed from the course. Results : —
Pukehou Hack Hurdles. — Waimaria 1 , Erl King 2, Mount Cook 3. Won r,y two lengths, with a neck between second and third. Scratched : Mag^'c Paul, Tambour Major, Rosy Morn, Wisteria. Time, 2min. 51} sec. Maiden Hack Flat.— Tawhaki 1, KiJidini 2, Gold Top 3. Scratched : Te Puhi. Farronite, Wharckoa, Ecliptic, Pu*nga, Rapu, Lady Linton, Needleniaid, Konowai, Mungatele, Sunrobe, Captnin, Royal Patron, True Shot. Won by a head. Time, slsec. Hangitikei Steeplechase. — Moocass<n 1, Chief 2,' Lovoll 3. Suratchod: Riro and Atu. AVou easily. Time, Gmin. o'sec.
