A CONTRACTOR'S DEATH.

John Murphy, a contractor, was found dead in a gully at Tamahere. with a gunshot wound near the heart. It is understood deceased told his daughter he intended to have a shot betore leaving home. Not returning m time to fMtch the train a search was made and the body found.
