THE DEVELOPMENT BILL.
(Received Sept. 16. 8.5 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 15. Mr. Balfour strongly protested against Mr. Lloyd-George's resolution enabling 'the Standing Committee on the Development Bill to sit simultaneously in tlie House. Ihe resolution was adopted. Mr. Asquith, Premier, recently hinted that the bill might he dropped n opposed. The present decision to i'oi'i it through is interpreted as> havinfe « connection with the prospect of v general election. The Duk« of Portland's bill to establish a Board of Agriculture m Scotlam, was read a first time.
