MR CLEMENT WRAGGE.
A VALUABLE OFFER TO NELSON. Per Press Association. NELSON, Sept. 14. Mr. Clement Wragge, the noted MK'tooroloui&t, who intends to take up his residence in Nelson, has made an important offer to the trustees of the local museum. Mr. Wragge, in the court*' of a letter to the secretary, states that in the course of his travels lie has made collections of specimens in eonchology, geology, and ethnography, which are now housed in different parts of the world. Out of these he offers to fid to the museum very considerabl ,\ The collection is to be lent for the town for ten years. If at the end of that time it has been well eared for .»nd appreciated, he undertakes to present it to the t«»«n on condition that he be a life trustee and honorary curator iod liis .son after him: he to classify and arrange the collection. Mr. Wragge alwi states his intention of erecting nn astronomical and independent weather .service, and establishing a radium setviee. The letter will be referred to the City Council.
