(Special to Herald.) PALMERSTON N., June 11. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., Palmerston North, report: On Thursday we offered a good yarding of both sheep and cattle. The attendance was large, and bidding was very spirited for all classes of stock. Good breeding ewes and good lambs were very keenly competed for. We have to report a total clearance of sheep and cattle at advance rates. We quote : — " Sheep. — Four-tooth to s.m. ewes in lamb 13s Id, 6-tooth to full mouth ewes in lamb 10s to 10s 6d, lambs (fair) 7s Id to 7s lOd, medium 6s 7d, small 5s 3d, fat ewes lls 6d to 12s, forward wethers lls 6d, forward ewes and wethers 10s 6d to lls 6d. Cattle.— Speyed heifers £2 16s (small), fat and forward heifers £4 14s, fat cows £4 to £5 ss, forward cows £2 Is to £3 3s, 18-monch steers £2 0s 6d to £2 2s 6d, empty cows £2 to £3 Is, weaners 20s to 25s 6d, small weaners 8s 6d to 10s, springing heifers £3 10s, yearling heifers 255.
