Yesterday afternoon tho second round of tho Taranaki Rugby Union's Northern Division competitions opened in into but dull woatbor. Most of the intoio.st in tlio senior matches centred on tho Tukapa-Klthani game. 'At the beginning of the first round Eltham defeated Tukapa with a goodly margin of points. That game, however, was placed in heavy ram, on a sticky ground, and tho heavy Eltham pack won the game. It was recognised that on a dry ground a vastly different game would result. Yesterday the condition I.suited tho speedy Tukapa backs, and Tukapa won b\ a point. Tho StratfordClifton match was on a somewhat similar footinii.
