ENTERTAINMENTS.

WEST'S PICTURES

On Monday evening next West's Pictures and De Groen's Vice-regal Orchestra will open their return season in tho Theatre Royal. They promise to eclipse any of their previous entertainments, and claim to be able to do this by the fact of having something of great interest to submit to their patrons ; also .by submitting a series of subjects that will be entirely new to New Plymouth. One of Mr. West's aims is to always place before his audiences some advanced development in the business to which he belongs, and he will adhere to this principle on Monday evening by introducing some "art studies" which are the very latest; achievements connected with life-motion photography. They are claimed to'possess so many brilliant qualities as to place them on a far higher level than the ordinary example of moving picture. Several of these studies 'will be shown in the first programme. The acting, costuming, and stage setting are said to be perfect. Other interesting scenic, dramatic and comic subjects will he shown to the accompaniment of Suitable selections by the orchestra. Special attention is directed to the pnices of admission. Seats can bo reserved on oa.vment of 6d extra at the Collier and Colonial Piano Co.
