A SUCCESSFUL YEAR.

Iho Colonial Sugar Company's profits tor six mouths are £162,632, making the total amount available for distul.ution £199,000. A dividend of 10 per cent, has been declared, and tofi.oOO carriod forward. The chairman stated that the production of sugar in Australia this year fell short ot the consumption, and some importation had been necessary. A proposal to oroct another mill at Fiji had fallen through for the present.
