TUKAPA B (13) v. STAR C (0)

The Tukapa boys wore much superior to the blacks in both combination and condition. T. Jones was tho tirst to score tor the blues, and eon vert oil his try himself. B. Clark then scored an unconverted try. In the second spell Clark scored another try. as a lo&ult of a pretty piece ot work by Mason. Ward converted. It was not a very attractive game. Mr. J. Way refereed, STAR A (9) v. MANGATOKI (0). This was a much faster anil more open game, both sides putting a lot of vim into their game. Star attacked, and scored just before thfc first spoil otulod, Ryan touching down in a corner Tho try was not converted. Star attacked 'again. From a scrum C. Brown got the hall and nipped over near a corner. Hill failed to convert. Star again attacking, a scrum was hold in the same corner. The ball came out on tho Star side, beating Brown. Pike snapped it up and flashed over. No goal. The game ended a minute or so Inter. Mr. G. Hopkins acted as referee.
