The triangular match between teams, representing the Kapbnga Rifle Citify the Taranaki Rifles and the T«ran«k* ' Guards which took place at 4he Rewa Rewa rifle range yesterday proved very enjoyable io the contestants. Thj^weather was almost perfect and good scores were recorded. Rifleman Gu» with 97 topped' the list, ~ closely followed by Sergt. Marett with 96, Private Marett with 95 and Private Riddles wjpr94. On Saturday the Guards will com* plete the shooting for Mr. C. Gorett's ammunition prizes. A match will probably be arranged between the Guards. and Mangorei tor next Thursday. The Guards' selectors have always ex-* perienced trouble in picking their best eight, and every shoot seems,. to make the trouble greater. The selectors, art particularly anxious to send 'tb\ei? /best team to Stratford on Thursday week, as Stratford Rifle Club is looked upon as possessing a really strong eightman team, including as it does such well-known, shots as the Speck, -Bra*., Messrs. Thorp, Madder, Sangster> etc.
