DUNEDIN, April 28. The city mayoral election resulted \n the retiring Mayor (J. M 'Donald) heing defeated by 40 votes, the figures being as follows: Walker 3343, M'Donald 3303. Last year Mr M 'Donald defeated Mr. Walker by about 1200 votes. A. 11. Hridger was elected Mayor of Mornington and 1). A. de Maus Mayor of Port Chalmers.
