Mr. H. B. Curtis was re-electeii Mayor unopposed. Shortly after the result was announced Mr. Curtis took the "hustings" and roturne.d thanks to tho electors for tho confidence they had shown him and the honour they had bestowed on him in electing him Mayor for the third time in succession. Ho then invited tho now councillors to take tho platform. Two ot these, Messrs. Fawcett and Gibbs, took this opportunity of returning thanks, but none of tho remainder seemed willing to participate in tho ortttotical competition.
