RACING AT SYDNEY.
SYDNEY, March 26. The Jockey Club has made a number of alterations to the season' r programme in added money. The Epsom Handicap is increased to £1500; the Metropolitan Handicap to £3000; the Doncaster to £1500; and the Sydney Cup to £3000. There are proportional increases ior the second and third horses, and in the added money in a number of smaller races. The distance of the first hurdle race has been reduced from two and a quarter miles to two miles ; second hurdles from three to two and a half miles ; Randwick Plate from two and a quarter to two miles. The First Nursery is increased from seven furlongs to a mile.
