Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, March 27. A cable from the High Commissioner dated March 26 states that the wool sales closed firm with excellent competition for all descriptors: The advance was fully maintained. A very small quantity was held over- Business in the manufacturing districts is improving and the prospects are favour able. The estimated values for superior merinos are Is to Is 2d, medium ditto lOd to Is, inferior ditto 7d to 9jd, fine crossbreds all grades Is to Is 3d, medium crossbreds al« grades 9£d to Hid, coarse crossbreds all grades 6£d to 9£d.
