Mr Newton- King's weekly auction report states: — At "the Haymarket on Saturday store pigs made 33s 6d, slips 4s 6d to 8s 6d, git £10 10s, hack £1 sa. Cattle.-^At Toko on Monday /there was a small yarding and bidding was quiet. Weaners made' 9s to 12s, store cows 26s to 525, fat and forward' ditto 3s 6d to 4s sd, f.m ewes 3s lOd to 5s 6d; lambs 4s 6d . At Stratford on- Tuesday there was a good 1 yarding and large attendance, bidding 'dragged for nearly all classes Except forward store cows which sold weir, arid although a good deal of business was don© in other lines prices were all in favour of buyers. 'Weaners made 6s to 13s 6d, 12 to 18-moirths heifers 24s to 28s. 18-months to 2-year heifers in calf £2 12s 6d to £2 17s 6d, 24-year steers good quality £0 15s, stojo cows 25s to 375, forward do. £2 15» ( .tq £3 9s, fat do. £3 18s to £4 Bs, f.m. -ewes 4 2s 6d to '4s, 4 and <5-tooth do 6s 8d to 10s, bulls 35b to 475.
