PETONE WORKSHOPS' ' EMPLOYEES. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, March 26. The trouble in connection with the appointment of the late employees of tne Manawatu Company to positions similar to those previously occupied in Petone workshops has taken a new phase. An originating summons has been filed by Mr Wilford to get an interpretation of section 27 of tne Manawatu Purchase Act, or ascertain whether the Government is compelled to appoint the Manawatu men in the way it is doing* at present, and whether the men have any claim to be so appointed.
