The Union had been unfortunate in having wet days for s6me of the representative matches, 1 and again interest in the matches had fallen off , considerably after the English match, resulting in a falUng v off in the gate receipts. _ " Mr. A. Humphries said it had been a good move forming the Western Division. This year Auckland and Wanganui would send junior representative teams to Taranaki f and so help to recompense for the heavy expense incurred in travelling last season. HEADQUARTERS OF THE UNION. Mr. O'Sullivan pointed auf that this, year his club could not put a senior team in the field, and suggested that the club be allowed to retain its district, and that members play this season for whatever outside club they wished. It was hoped next year that they would be able to again put a team * in the field. ' • . " The chairman pointed out that it was against the Union's rules. The district could be cut up and added to adjoining,, districts. Mr. Powdrell moved that the Okaiawa district be sub-divided -until it could show that it could again put a senior team in the field.
