Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, March 26. Alfred Manning was found in an-ex-piring condition in his garden this morning. He died before- assistance could be procured.

AUCKLAND, March 27. A young man. named James Robinson drove last night to a hotel in a cab and invited a sfranger to drink with him. Upon the hospitality being refused Robinson said he would kill himself, and produced a razor and gashed his throat. The wound was not serious. Robinson is now in tho hospital. . _
