INVITATION TO OLD SETTLERS.

(To the Editor.) Sir, — In connection with the general holiday and celebrations to be held at Moturoa on March 31, the sixty-eighth anniversary of the landing of the Pilg»im Fathers by the barque William ryan, k I have to beg your assistance in giving publicity to the invitation that I now extend on behalf of the cttizens of New Plymouth for all those pioneers and early settlers who landed at Moturoa for New Plymouth prior to 1845, to' be present at Moturoa 01/ Anniversary Day. I find it quite im possible to send individual invitations to all those who come under this list. so I am doing so in a general wa\ through tho press, I don't wish the aarly settlers to think that the invitation now .given is on this account less real and hearty than if it had been sent to them indi/«'Jually. It is only on account of laok of information as to the name 6of those who are still living that I have fallen back on a general invitation. I hope to see anc I welcome all members of that grand hand" of pioneers who are with us and well enough to come to Moturoa or March 31. — I -am, etc^

G. TISCH, Mayor, Chairman Anniversary Day Committee.
