NOTICE is hereby given that nt a Special Meeting of the Elliot Road Board held on the Ist day of March, 1909, a resolution was passed (by way of Special Order) making and , levying a special rate of 11-64ths of a penny in the pound upon the ratable value of all ratable property 'in. the Elliot Road district for the purpose .of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1000 authorised to be raised by the Flliot Road Board under "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 3908," for the purpose of forming, kerbing and metalling the footpath for a length of 41* chains (more or less) along the northern side of the Elliot Road from Cutfield Road to the western boundary of Solevillo (£200; and completing the grading and formation and metalling of the Elliot Road through to its junction with the Frankley Road' at the Frankley Road School (£800). Such special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year daring the currency of such loan, being a period of 41 years or until the loan is fully paid off. Such resolution will be submitted for confirmation as a Special Order at a Special Meeting of the Elliot Road Board to be held at the office of the Board in Currie Street, New Plymouth, on TUESDAY, 30th <3ay of March, 1909, at 1 p.m. , A copy of the proposed special order is deposited at the office of the Board . in Currie Street, New Plymouth,, where the same will lie open for public inspection during office hours until the said confirmation meeting is held.
