The development has caused much disappointment. It is realised that thehearing of the appeal may delay the re-opening of the mine for a lengthy period. The men are again becoming restless, and rumours are rife that the companies intend to import men from Melbourne. SYDNEY, March 19. A meeting of the directors of the Proprietary Company decided to test the validity of Mr. Justice Higgins' Broken Hill arbitration award before the High Court at the earliset possible date.
