THE FOLLY OF STRIKES.

Sir Christopher Furness, the shipbuilder, who recently formed ' his Hartlepool shipbailding" business into a workers' co-operative concern, speaking at Stoekton-on-Tees, deplored the folly of strikes. He declared, that in the past year in shipbuilding and. engineering strikes on the north-east "coast the men alone had los^ £850,000.
