The payment per lb for butterfat was 9|d last September. This year it was 10d. The quantity of milk supplied to Riverdale factory for last month was 1 197,541 lbs, asa'gaiost 1,135,622 lbs for September of 1907. The daily supply last month ranged from 24,807 lbs to 55,972 lbs. For September of last year ]ld was paid per lb for butterfat, while it was Is for this. No butter was produced in September, 1907. There were four fewer suppliers last month than for September of 1907. The test last month for Hawera and Mells was 3.70 and for Normanby 3.74. Opunake has 60 suppliers, Riverdale 52, Eltham 181 (8704 cows), Kakaramea 66 (3111 cows). The Midhirst' Dairy Company paid out to suppliers Is 2d per lb for August butterfat and Is for September. — Hawera Star.*

Owing to the hall being engaged on Monday night, St. Joseph's School social has been postponed until Wednesday next.

The Quarant Ore in honour of the Most "Blessed Sacrament of the Divine Eucharist will commence to-morrow in St. Joseph's Church and ..will be continued till Tuesday morning. Yer\ Rev. Father Chine, C.S.S.R., will preach on Sunday evening and officiate otherwise generally during the devotions. Father Menard, S.M., Okato, will also assist on Monday and Tuesday morning. — Advt.
