At Ballarat a married Avoman, Mrs Cartledge was killed in a tragic man
She was quarrelling Avith her husband, avlio was drunk, Avhen by some means she received a shot from a revolver Avhich he Avae holding. The Avound proved fatal.
Cartledg© states that he did not intend to shoot his wife but that the revolver accidentally exploded while she was trying to wrench it from him.
