SYDNEY, Sept. 14. A private cable spates that Hewitt,' the New Zealand jockey, won two events at the Doncaster meeting last Thursday. . The committee of the Waitara Racing Club is having considerable difficulty in obtaining a suitable date for its races. The committee fixed o*uOctober 19th (Labour Day), but the chairman of the Racing Conference objected to that date as it would possibly effect Otaki, Napier Park, and Wellington racing clubs! The two former clubs race on October 14 and 15, and the later on October 21 and 25. The committee is at a loss to understand how the clubs mentioned could, he affected. The committee, at a special meeting held on Saturday evening, decided to apply for December 17.
