POULTRY SOCIETY-

A* committee meeting of the Taranaki Poultry, \ Pigeon, and Canary SocieVf was held at the secretary's office > 'on Wednesday evening. N There were present Messrs .S, Teed (chairV, S. Brooks, R. Davidson, and S. C. Crisp. It wasv resolved that the president and secretary should put before the North Island Association a complaint of negligence of the Association's secretary in answering correspondence .\ It was decided that the advisability of holding a baby show and a dbg show should be , brought before the annual meeting next month. Mr Brooks was awarded the Society's trophy (value £5 ss) won 'at the last^show for canaries. It was resolved to, approach Mr Hyde (Government Poultry Expert) with a request to hold an egg-laying competition at ■New Plymouth in, the coming year, and also to urge that Moturoa should be appointed by the Government a grading depot for poultry export.
