DEMAND FOR POTATOES AND ONIONS.
WELLINGTON, Sept. 8. The Department of Industries and Commerce has received through its Sydney agency particulars of tenders invited for the supply of potatoes and onions to the American army stationed at the Philippines. »It is estimated, that 60,0001bs of potaToes and 120,000 lbs of onions will be required each month. Tenders, which nave to be rendered in triplicate, close, at Manila, Philippine Islands, at 11 a.m. on the 17th instant.
