TROUBLES IN INDIA.
CALCUTTA, Sept. 6. Sir Sydenham Clarke, Governor of Bombay, telegraphed to Dadabhai Naoroji, the first Indian who was elected to the Imperial, Parliament, congratulating him on attaining his eighty-third birthday. He also exEressed the. hope that Naoroji would c spared to see the dispersion of the clouds that were threatening the progress of the people of Jndia. Nadroji" replied that he hoped the timely granting of necessary reforms would cause a change for the better and restore faith in British justice.
