Lieut-Colonel Okey," commanding 4th Wellington Riflo Volunteers has issued the following battalion orders: — A written examination of all non-commis-sioned officers who have held their acting appointments for six months will bo held at their respective lieadeiuartors as under : Taranaki Rifles, .Sopt. 21, 1908; Taranaki Guards, Sept. 20: Inglewood Rifle 9, Sept. 23; Elthani Rifles, Sept. 17; Hawera Rifles, .Sejpt, 23; Waitara Rifles, Sept. 21. A prac tical examination will bo held at date? to be notified later. Colonel Davies will inspect the Tara naki Company of Volunteers at Sentry Hill on the 17th inst.
