Mr L. Keith, who put down the Bonithon petroleum bore, left Wellington for Sydney on Friday last. Mr T. A. MurpV, who is retiring from the Customs Department at l^yttelton, was, last >eek presented by the shipping and business people of the , port with a handsome silver salver, suitably inscribed, for Mrs Murphy, ! and a silver cigar-holder and case and cutter for himself. * oor+ r A > quiet wedding was celebrated at the residence of Adjutant Macaulay, Wanganui, on Saturday afternoon, when Mr, George Wilson, son of Mr Hamilton Wilson, of New Plymouth, was united in the bonds of matrimony to Miss Pycroft, daughter of Mr Wm. Pycroft, of New Plymouth. Adjutant Macaulay officiated. The bride, who was given away* bY her brother, was attended by Miss R. Wilson and Miss ; Bennett. Mr H. H. Wilson acted as best man, and Mr E.
