NEW ZEALAND SHIPPING COMPANY'S NEW STEAMER.

London, August 17. — The New Zealand Shipping Company's new steamship, the Otaki, has been launched on the Clyde.

As the Waikare was leaving Port Chalmers on Friday last she grounded on a mud-bank and , remained there, but suffered no damage. The Rotoiti arrived this morning from Wellington and Nelson. Sho brought transhipments- per Mokoia, Maitai, Wonga Fell, Ulimaroa, Maheno, and Norfolk, from Liverpool; Marmion, from London: and Tokomaru, from London. She sails as usual to-night for North. The Takapuna arrived from North at the usual time this morning. She sailed for South at noon.
