PRIMARY {SCHOOL FOOTBALL.

On Saturday last tho Central boys played' Stratford A-t^am at Inpiewood. After 16 points had be^n scored by the Central, the Stratforw boys decided to knock off, as, although they played pluckily, the balance of numbers was too much against them. Sides were then e,hosen and a friendly game indulged in. The competition among the boys has lost 'much of its interest owing to the unequal strength of the teams and the difficulties in connection with travelling, ft is to be hoped that, this will be remedied.

The Clifton and Waitnra Rowing Clubs' return football match resulted in a win for the Clifton Club by 23 points to nil.

At Wai tarn the West End boys defeated the Waitnra schoolboys by 35 points to nil. ,* J

The local High School's first and second fifteens played tho Stratford High School teams at Stratford on Saturday. Tho home team won each match, tho seniors by 18 to nil, and the juniors by fj to nil.
