A CAPPING CEREMONY.
AUCKLAND, May 29. The annual meeting for the conferring of degrees and the presentation of diplomas in connection with the Auckland University College district was held this afternoon, the Chancellor of the University (Sir Robert Stout) § residing. In the course of his adress, tE& Chancellor urged that more attention - be' paid to the study of sociology and agrioulture, and also advocated the establishment of a school for journalists. An address, was also given by Lord Plunket.
