LONDON, May 22. The wheat markets are depressed owing to large "arrivals off coast and fine weather. Prices-are fairly steady but there is no activity ; 37s 9d is asked for Victorian January shipment; 37s 2d has been paid for a steamer parcel April shipment. Flour. — Poor demand for Australian, on the spot offering in London 26s and 26s 6d, Glasgow 28s. Butter.— Danish Ills to- 113s; Vic r torian exhausted; fair enquiry 'for New South Wales ; Queensland 96s to 100. There are some complaints of the Ortona's shipment of apples being tainted. • ' { Copra is in fair demand ; South Sea afloat £15 12s 6d. Copper.— On the spot £57 12s 6d, three' months' £58 7s 6d. Tin.— On the spot £133 15s, three months £131 15s. Lead, £13 2s 6d. Spelter, £19 15s. v Sugar. — German 11s 2d, first marks 13s. At Bradford wool is strong and in good enquiry; forties 10d, forty-sixes 11 |d; common sixties 22d: super sixties 22d; super 23d.
